LS GRIIIINNNNDDDD!!!! - Famine - Razzin' LP

I picked this LP up the last time I saw Leeds PV band Famine playing in Harrogate. They're active again after writing and recording this one-sided ten song record. It's also their first record featuring the vocals of Warren from Shoot The Bastard

It was released collaboratively by Here And Now Records, Dead Heroes Records, Vleesklak Records and Attention Deficit Grindcore Disorder Records.

The artwork (by Daniel Hughes) for this is brilliant and anybody who's seen the band live will definitely appreciate it.

I'm not sure how many copies of this have been pressed, so if anybody can help I'd be really grateful.

Anyway, you can grab copies from the below links:-

Evil Eye Vinyl Pick-Ups - The Black Dahlia Murder/Buried Inside/Municipal Waste

Finally a new record store has emerged in Harrogate. It's small but it has a decent selection of metal and punk, mainly from labels like Relapse, Metal Blade and Earache etc. I've picked up a few records from there since the turn of the year and seen as I haven't posted here in a while, I thought I'd start back up with these three.

The Black Dahlia Murder - Everblack

I was pretty excited when spotted this while searching through the shelves. A lavish 6-panel gatefold sleeve adorned with dark purple/black artwork.

My pictures don't really do this one justice.

The records sleeve itself includes the song lyrics, but as you'll see from the next couple of photos they're not easy to read unless you're up close.

The record itself continues the purple theme. Pressing info (taken from Discogs as Metal Blade doesn't include pressing info on their site) -

200 on Purple/Black Splatter
300 on Purple/White Splatter
500 on Purple/White Marble (This one)

It also came with a huge poster inside -

Buried Inside - Spoils Of Failure

Next up is this double LP from Buried Inside. This time housed is a simpler four-panel gatefold.

The lyric insert is reversible on the one side.

This version is pressed onto heavy-weight black vinyl.

Pressing info:-

100 on Clear
400 on 180gm Black
500 on Blue

Inside the sleeve there was also a double-sided promo poster.

Municipal Waste - Hazardous Mutation

I've always been a big fan of the Waste and seeing this LP in the racks made me pretty happy.

It came with a full-size lyric booklet that features loads of fan photos in the centre.

This is the standard black version.

Pressing info -

500 on Grey
750 on Yellow
750 in Black

I'll definitely be picking up more records from Evil Eye and if you're in Harrogate, you should pay it a visit too.
